As the antivirus industry continues to grow, the company has been pushing free software as a way to protect against potential threats.
Today, Norton announced that it is rolling out its free, no-cost software protection to protect its customers.
As with most Norton services, it’s simple: If you’re using Norton Security Plus or other free Norton software, you can now get it for free.
This is just one of many features that Norton is rolling in to help protect against common threats like ransomware, spyware, and botnets.
“Norton Security Plus protects against ransomware, malicious attachments, and phishing attacks, and helps users stay safe online by automatically blocking any unwanted websites,” the company says.
“When your PC and your Mac are not connected, Norton Security is the only solution to keep your data secure and to protect your personal data.”
Users who already have Norton Security plus can continue to use it for a free 30-day trial, but those who are not yet ready to upgrade to Norton Security Pro will be able to upgrade for a full two-year subscription fee of $9.99 per month.
